Executive leadership coaching services

Inner change, outer impact

1:1 and group executive leadership coaching that shifts how leaders use their time and energy, builds teams that operate with less drama and more focus, and equips organisations to face the next wave of change without defaulting to firefighting.

Leaders in the for‑purpose sector are capable, values‑driven and committed, but many feel like they’re running to stand still. They’re often carrying responsibility for people, performance and purpose in systems that are under‑resourced and politically complex.

  • Leaders stuck in the urgent, with back‑to‑back meetings and crises leaving little space for real thinking.
  • Pulled between board, funders, staff and community expectations, it feels impossible to keep everyone satisfied.
  • Politics, personalities and history make change slower and harder than it needs to be.
  • Leaders worried about burnout – for themselves and their team (but the work still has to get done).
  • Leaders stuck being the hero and fixer, because they’re still the person everyone comes to for answers.
Coaching creates the time and space for leaders to explore what needs to change, in them and around them, away from politics and games. It provides the confidential support and challenge that leaders recognise as indispensable to the development of their teams, but which they neglect or can't find for themselves.

Coaching delivers results for the organisation and the individual leader.

For the organisation:

  • Sharper decisions, faster alignment: leadership groups step back from crisis mode, clarify priorities, reset decision‑making rhythms and move in the same direction.
  • Better performance with less friction: teams communicate clearly, manage conflict early, and build trust across departments and partners, reducing the need for constant escalation.
  • More resilient, engaged people: leaders spot burnout earlier, manage workload and delegation more intentionally, and create psychologically safer, more sustainable workplaces.
  • Stronger leadership bench: mid‑senior leaders grow capability and confidence, so succession stops being a risk.
  • Visible impact and accountability: smoother program delivery, stronger relationships with funders and stakeholders, and behaviour that matches your stated values.

For individual leaders:

  • Consistently protect time for strategic thinking and arrive at key meetings clearer, better prepared and less reactive.
  • Teams know what success looks like, who owns what, and there is less firefighting and duplication.
  • Handle tough conversations (performance, behaviour, priorities) earlier and more constructively, instead of avoiding them or letting them blow up.
  • Set boundaries that support both performance and wellbeing, so you’re not leading on empty or expecting heroics from yourself or others.
  • Have a clearer, more intentional path for your leadership, whether that’s deepening your impact where you are, or preparing for your next role.
  • Work with an experienced thinking partner who understands purpose‑driven systems and will both support and challenge you to lead the way you want to.

FAQs

Every leader is different, so we offer flexibility to your needs and schedule. Most people have a coaching session every two or three weeks over six to twelve months until we have forged meaningful resolutions. There is always an option for us to continue on a regular or ad hoc basis to address emerging issues.

We recommend working together for ten sessions to establish your objectives, build a relationship and allow sufficient time for you to take action, reflect and adapt towards achieving your goals.

We hold our coaching sessions online via Teams and Zoom. This offers the flexibility for coaching to fit into your professional and personal schedules.

We recommend finding somewhere comfortable and private, and bringing along a notepad and pen. You’ll be asked to talk about the issues on your mind and what you hope to get out of the session. We want you to be present, open and honest. You’ll feel supported and challenged with genuine, interested questions: depending on the day, you might like more of one and less of the other. You’ll be met with understanding and expert care. At the end of sessions, you’ll walk away with new clarity and insights – and some actions to take before we next meet.

Coaching is time-limited and action-oriented towards achieving a specific objective or goal. If, during coaching, we uncover issues that warrant exploration through therapy, we’ll discuss options for you to consider as appropriate.

We work with individual leaders on a 1:1 basis and together in groups. We don't offer team coaching (that is, working with an existing team on how they function together).

We work with individuals from underrepresented groups across cultures, gender, sexuality, age and ability, supporting them to overcome barriers and create strategies for professional growth. We specialise in working with LGBTQI+ leaders in a safe, inclusive environment.

Executive leadership coaching is a meaningful, tangible way to invest in the future with demonstrable ROI. Its value can be thought of in a range of ways, from enhancing strategic thinking and decision-making to building confidence, resilience, and executive presence. Whether navigating complex challenges, stepping into a new leadership role, or striving for continuous improvement, executive coaching is an investment that delivers long-term organisational, career and personal rewards. More tangibly, when you consider the cost of not progressing that key project, the increase in productivity you could see from an upskilled and empowered team member, or the value you expect to realise from your next career move, the cost of coaching more than pays for itself.
